Tiny Dots Bow Holder

I wanted to make something to hold all of the bows that I made for Lily. I came up with this idea, and it turned out pretty well.

Lots of Dots

I love this soft and cuddly baby blanket. Fun in brown and pink great for that tag along blanket!

Crayon Creations

Here is another good ol creation. Cut up crayon, position between wax paper foled in half, place hot iron over top of wax paper to melt. Connor made a smiley face and a butterfly.

Discovering Nature

Spring is the best time of the year to exploring how nature works. Connor was very curious about pine cones when we went for a walk one day. I collected each step of a pine cones growth and we discussed all the ins and outs of how a pine cone is made.

Erupting!

For science this week we made volcanoes. This is the good ol trick of baking soda and vinegar and a little bit of red food coloring. Connor was amazed and wanted to keep doing it over and over.

Super Connor!

Connor is so much into Star Wars currently. He was using towels to be Darth Vader so I made him his how Cape with a big C on the back of it. He has worn it every where we go. Amazing how much kids and love the simplest things!

Summer Heart Dress

I found a very cute top at Goodwill for adult women. I was able to take the top and make a skirt out of it for a size 3T girls, appliques hearts on a shirt we already had, and used sections of it to make a dress for Lily my baby niece. Two outfits out of a 2.99 shirt! Can't go wrong. The infant dress is in another blog post below, check it out!

Learning ABC's

There are so many ways to learn the alphabet, I try to make all of Connor's learning experiences fun and interactive. This keeps him involved and from his mind wondering. He actually enjoys learning doing it this way and usually can not wait to see what we will be doing next. I found these templates on childcareland.com, she has a lot of free printables and you can buy her items as well. This is basic matching the letter piece with the "game board".

Pattern, Colors, and Shapes....Oh My

I wanted to create something for Connor to learn the basics of patterns, shapes, and colors all in one. I went to the Dollar Tree and found foam pieces and large foam beads. I tacky glued the beads onto the foam in a pattern then added to the baggie enough pieces for him to make his pattern look like mine. Connor loves this! I made about 20-25 of these all for only $2! Cheap and educational....... can not go wrong.

Monekying Around Burpcloth

Here is my next burp cloth for baby Lily! Again it will have the rag effect after it has been washed a few times. Enjoy

Creating Rag Cloth Burp Cloths

This time I just sewed all the way around the burp cloths. Cute in on the sides to the stitch line every 1/4 inch. I used flannel for a softer feel and to help it fray more to give the rage effect. Decorated with ribbon. So cute once again! It has been snipped around the edges but not washed yet, the more washes the more rage effect and the cuter they will get!

Complete Matching Set

Here are all of the items together! So cute I love them!

Creating a Stylish Baby Wipe Case

And again.....another idea from handmadebyjill. Love her!
I bought a baby wipe case from the dollar store used the same Pol a Dot fabric and covered the case used ribbon to accent and trim it! How cute is this!
